Roger's Reviews
Post Rookie Draft — initial reaction, no performance data
Ryan Harker walks to the podium with three picks and the confidence of a man who has never once been humbled by this process. The good news: Omar Cooper Jr. at 1.11 is essentially spot-on consensus value — clean, defensible, the kind of pick even Roger's bartender Carlos would nod at. The bad news is that Kaytron Allen at 2.11 is a ten-slot reach, which is the fantasy equivalent of ordering a Wagyu steak and insisting you want it well done — technically your choice, but we are all worse off for witnessing it. Bryce Lance at 3.11 is five slots early, which means Harker apparently decided one reach wasn't enough and ordered a second round. A B-minus is generous the way a participation trophy is generous — it acknowledges you showed up, and stops there.
